Who we are

The House of Roses Curative Waldorf School now is raising forty-three special needs children in 6 classes. Each of these little rosebuds are living with special needs: with intellectual disabilities (mild to moderate), with physical disabilities, or with intact intellectual abilities, but severe learning, behaviour disabilities, attention and activity disorders, speech disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

The school was established in 2019 and it is the first and only curative Waldorf school in Hungary, corresponding to the legal requirements and possessing all the official operating licenses. Our class-teachers are special education teachers, and every class has additionally one helper.

Our building is located in beautiful natural surroundings, in the green belt of Budapest (1125 Budapest, Mátyás király street 53/B). We have six classrooms, development rooms, a great yard and a cheerful everyday life.

Where we are headed

We are now facing the challange of founding a vocational school and expanding our building. We are embarking on a major transformation and expansion, both conceptually and physically.

We are preparing a curriculum and during the next two years we are going to expand our building with new classrooms, workshop rooms and accessible toilets.

Together we can do it

We are applying for grants, working on the plans and necessary permits, negotiating with construction companies and local authorities, doing all we can with our own hands, hearts and heads.

But the task is huge, we have to raise €300,000 so we really need all your help!
